Prototype in testing

Your whole van on one screen

VanDash is a 7-inch touchscreen plus wireless measuring modules. See how level you are parked, your fresh and grey water and the gas left in the bottle, and soon your battery and solar too. No cables run through your build.

Modules

The main screen and modules you pick for your build

Buy the kit or single modules. Every module talks to the main screen by radio. Where your van already has sensors or devices, VanDash uses them instead of adding new ones.

At launch

Main screen

Hub

A 7" touchscreen in the cab. It's where you manage your modules: pair them, set them up and read them, all on one view.

Display
7" IPS, 1024×600, touch
Power
USB-C (from your van's 12 V USB socket)

Level

Parked and driving

Shows tilt on both axes and tells you which side to raise on the ramps. It sleeps while you drive and wakes up on its own when you need it.

Measures
pitch and roll
Power
3× AA, rechargeables too

Water tanks

Fresh and grey

Fresh and grey water level in percent. You match the module to the tanks you have.

  • Probe rodsuses the probes many campers have from the factory
  • Float senderreads an existing float or resistive sender
  • 60 GHz radara new sensor that measures through the tank wall, no drillingin development

LPG bottle scale

Gas

The bottle stands on a flat scale. The screen shows how many kilograms of gas are left, before the stove goes out mid-dinner.

Measures
bottle weight, kg and % of gas
Method
4 load cells, tare from the screen

In development

Battery and solar

State of charge, current, voltage and solar power. Reads the BMS and charge controller already in your van.

JK BMS · Victron VE.Direct · EPEVER

Diesel heater

Switch the parking heater on and off from the screen, and weigh its fuel tank.

Vevor and compatible

Vehicle data

Speed, RPM, fuel and engine temperature from the sensors your van already has.

RPM and speed pulses · fuel sender

Switches

Wireless control of lights, the water pump or the fridge from the main screen.

up to 8 channels

Automations

A van that keeps an eye on the small stuff

Set simple "when this happens, do that" rules on the main screen. They run on the switch module, and over time on other modules too. No app, no internet.

  • Whenthe battery drops below 20%Thenswitch off the fridge and show a warning
  • Whengrey water reaches 90%Thenremind me to empty the tank
  • Whenthe panels have surplus and the battery is fullThenswitch on the boiler or a second fridge
  • Whenyou switch off the engine after a driveThenopen the level screen so you can park level right away

Automations are in development. Before a rule switches anything on, it checks that the data is fresh, and it only starts heating devices with your explicit consent.

Screens

What VanDash looks like in the cab

Swipe between screens like on a phone. Each one shows one thing, big and easy to read.

Van level

Van level

Roll and pitch, with the van drawn from three sides. The status turns green when both axes are within ±1°.

Screenshots from the screen software simulator, using demo data.

Setup

Three steps to your first reading

  1. Mount the screen

Fit the main screen in the cab and power it from a USB socket. Nothing gets wired into the vehicle.

  2. Place the sensors

Level on the floor, scale under the bottle, sensor at the tank. The level and the scale run on batteries, and the water module can also run from USB.

  3. Pair with a magnet

Hold the included magnet to a sensor and the screen adds it to the list. No app, no account.

Why it's built this way

Made for a van parked for weeks in the woods

VanDash is built in Poland and tested in a real camper van. It works locally, so mobile coverage doesn't matter.

  • InternetNot needed. Sensors talk straight to the screen.
  • BatteriesSensors sleep when nothing happens and wake when the van moves.
  • CablesThe main screen runs from USB. Modules talk to it by radio, so no cables run through your build.
  • ComplianceDesigned for CE (Radio Equipment Directive) and RoHS. Sales start after testing.
Where we are

From prototype to the first batch

  1. Done

    Prototype

The main screen and the first modules work as prototypes.

  2. Now

    Road testing

Battery life, water radar, our own circuit boards.

  3. Next

    Certification

EMC and radio testing, CE declaration of conformity.

  4. Next

    First batch

The first kits go to the people who got in touch.

  5. Later

    New modules and automations

Energy, heating, vehicle data, switches and rules on the main screen.

FAQ

Common questions

Will it fit my van?

Yes, if you have a USB socket or 12 V with a USB charger. The level and the gas scale don't connect to the vehicle wiring. The water, energy and vehicle data modules use sensors and devices you already have, so we'll help you pick the right variant before you buy.

How long do the batteries last?

We're measuring that on the road now. We'll publish real numbers before sales start.

Do I need a phone app?

No. You see and set everything on the screen in the cab.

When can I buy one?

Once CE conformity testing is done. Email us and we'll let you know when sales start.
